FITTING THE NFL MOLD

Ideally, a RBs height will be between 5'9" and 6'1" and he will weigh somewhere between 200 and 230 lbs. Jeanty fits into the mold as he is on the shorter side but has the mass to move the pile. The two greatest predictors of NFL success for RBs in the combine are the 40 Yard Dash and the Broad Jump. These test a players speed as well as their lower body explosiveness. Jeanty did not compete in the Combine tests or Pro Day tests as he had already secured his status as the top RB in this year's draft.

COLLEGE PRODUCTION

Jeanty has some immediate concerns about wear and tear coming out of college as he saw nearly 400 touches last season alone. NFL teams raise red flags when a player has 700 or more carries in college or 300+ carries in a season. Jeanty has seen 830 touches in his career and had 397 touches last year. He may not last as long in the NFL due to his large workload, but teams will be able to rely on him early and often throughout his rookie contract.

WATCHING THE TAPE

An often-overlooked quality among the fantasy community is ball carrier vision. Jeanty has elite vision showing an ability to find the hole and avoid running into the back of his own players. He is extremely agile and shows great horizontal speed to go along with his home run speed once he finds the hole. He has some of the best contact balance I have seen, reminding me of when Saquon was at Penn State. He refuses to go down at first contact and arm tacklers can forget about trying to bring him down. Once he gets into the redzone, he is able to put his head down and push the pile to secure the score. He had 30 touchdowns this season alone, as he is nearly impossible to stop in short yardage situations.

THE LANDING SPOT

Jeanty was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders with the 6th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He should come in and immediately be a work horse back for the Raiders who were last in the league in rushing in 2024. Zamir White nor Raheem Mostert will steal enough work to have any noticeable negative impact on Jeanty. The Raiders offensive line is not very good, but they have slowly been building up their line through the last few drafts. Jeanty should have enough work to offset the negatives of the o-line.

WHERE TO DRAFT HIM

In Dynasty, Jeanty is the 1.01 and it isn't close. Don't overthink it and try to get cute, take the best player at a valuable position. Jeanty is also a first round player in redraft leagues. He should go somewhere between the 5th and 12th pick.
