Week 16 NFL DFS Values

Divisional Weekend is here and sportsbooks like Underdog (like we recommend and play ourselves) are offering small 6 league drafts where you choose 6 players to make your line up to win big cash! Last week we made 50X our cash placing 53rd out of 35,000+! With only 6 picks, a whiff could cost you. I'll give you a pick that could win you your week and a pick that could be a potential land mine.

QB Play: Jayden Daniels vs Detroit Lions

Detroit has been decimated with injuries and most notably, their defensive backs. This led to them allowing the 4th most passing yards in the league. This Detroit offense scores early and often decreasing teams rushing attempts as they saw the fewest rushing attempts against them in the NFL. The books and I expect this to be a high scoring game where Washington can't rely on slowing the pace of the game and running the ball. I like Daniels to beat the Lions through the air as well as tearing them up on the ground. Whether the Lions cover the spread or not, Daniels likely has an elite day regardless.

QB Fade: Matt Stafford vs Philadelphia Eagles

This matchup has great QBs and elite receivers but don't expect this to be a high scoring game. The Eagles allowed the fewest passing yards per game this season and are playing at home in a game that is trending to be 32 degrees and dropping with an 85%chance of snow. Stafford is also coming off of his worst statistical season of his career that wasn't ended early due to injury. The Rams dominated the Vikings, but this is going to be a close, methodical game which will be fun to watch but hurt your fantasy numbers.

RB Play: Jahmyr Gibbs vs Washington Commanders

The Commanders defense allowed the 5th most rush yards per carry making this a horrible match up for the Commies. Gibbs had the 5th most yards per carry in the NFL and the 3rd most among RBs and has 6 TDs in his last 4 games. Gibbs has been a beast all year and I expect he could drop further than he should in drafts due to the return of Montgomery. Gibbs and Saquon should be the first two picks in all drafts, if they fall below that you are getting a value.

RB Fade: Joe Mixon vs Kansas City Chiefs

I called for a Mixon resurgence last week and he helped me, and plenty others get paid out! He now faces the Chiefs who tied for allowing the 4th least rushing yards per rush and the 5th least rushing yards per game. Mixon will be running into the teeth of this defense while having been limited or not participating in practice all week due to injury. Mixon's juice won't be worth the squeeze this week.

WR Play: Nico Collins vs Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs weakness on defense this year has been the passing game. Nico is the only remaining healthy starter among the Texans WR's and should see a majority of Strouds pass attempts. This is a high risk/high reward play. If McDuffie gets the assignment to travel with Collins life will be miserable, but if the Chiefs make this a high scoring affair, the opportunity should be there for Collins to succeed.

WR Fade: AJ Brown vs Los Angeles Rams

Like Stafford above, this game has a chance to be affected by the weather, leading both teams to lean on running the ball with their talented backs. This will limit the number of opportunities as well as lead to a decrease in game time due to a frequently running game clock. Brown has already been feast or famine and his draft position at this point in formats isn't worth the return.

TE Play: Travis Kelce vs Houston Texans

When it comes to crunch time and the playoffs, the Kelce and Mahomes connection leaves teams in body bags. With Worthy and Hopkins on the outside and Pacheco in the middle, it leaves teams struggling to put the numbers needed to guard Kelce without leaving holes elsewhere. This duo is deadly and there is nobody else you can trust like Kelce at this stage, including Andrews.

TE Fade: Dalton Kincaid vs Baltimore Ravens

Kincaid has the hype and name value but hasn't done anything to put it together and earn the recognition he receives. The Bills have a weakness at receiver so the Ravens can focus on bracketing the TEs while spying Josh Allen. Kincaid likely has a line like he did last week with 3 catches for around 40 yards. That's not going to get you paid.
