English Premier League Best Bets: Matchweek 32 (April 12, 2025 - April 14, 2025):

Welcome to English Premier League Soccer Best Bets, where we break down the latest action in the English Premier League (EPL) and my favorite bets for the upcoming matches, providing quality content that is accessible to new fans and engaging to old and new fans alike.

For an overview of what to expect in this Bettor in Green Article Series, check out my EPL Season Preview and Futures article here.

Recap:

We’re in the final stages of the Premier League season with only 7 of the 38 matchweeks remaining.

Last weekend, Wolves got another win, spelling more bad news for the bottom 3: Ipswich, Leicester, and Southampton.

Speaking of Southampton, the Wolves win and Southampton’s loss to Spurs means Southampton are officially the earliest-relegated team in the Premier League’s history. The club sacked head coach Ivan Jurić as a result, lasting less than 4 months on the job.

Our Best Bets went 1-2, winning Aston Villa, losing on Liverpool and on Man City in the Manchester Derby. Across the Globe we hit 3 of 5, losing both Saturday bets and winning all 3 on Sunday.

Upcoming Matches:

Matchweek 32 starts Saturday with Manchester City hosting Crystal Palace.

Saturday continues with 3 matches in the 10 a.m. EST window, before Arsenal hosts Brentford for the late match.

On Sunday, we have 3 matches kicking off at 9 a.m. EST, before Newcastle hosts Manchester United.

We have one match on Monday as Bournemouth host Fulham.

We get a bonus match on Wednesday as Newcastle make up their match against Crystal Palace from when they were off for the Carabao Cup Final.

Let’s get to the bets:

Best Bets:

Pick #1: Nottingham Forest Moneyline +110 (April 12, 2025; 10:00 a.m. EST):

For this first Best Bet, I’m looking at Nottingham Forest, who have had a stellar season, to get the win against Everton, who have had a decent run of form.

Forest sit 3rd in the league, but are only 5 points ahead of Man City in 6th. This difference is critical, as the top 5 this season will earn a spot into next season’s Champions League.

Forest have a few tough matches remaining in their schedule (away to Spurs and Crystal Palace, hosting Man City and Brentford), so they’ll need to get the 3 points against Everton to stay in the driver’s seat for Champions League qualification.

Forest have won 12 of their last 13 matches against clubs in the bottom half of the table, a streak I expect them to continue.

Everton have been playing much better under David Moyes and sit in 15th and are 15 points clear of the relegation zone. They haven’t won in 5 matches, though they’ve drawn 6 of their last 8.

While Everton may still have a few points to earn to guarantee safety, they don’t have nearly as much to play for as Forest. They also have not looked nearly as dominant as Forest have this season.

Pick #2: Arsenal / Brentford Both Teams to Score -125 (April 12, 2025; 12:30 p.m. EST):

For my second Best Bet, I’m taking a market I don’t often utilize, Both Teams To Score.

This is a weird spot for Arsenal. They just had a stunning win at home in the Champions League against the reigning champions, Real Madrid, and will travel to Spain to face them in the 2nd leg on Wednesday.

But first, they have to get through Brentford.

While Arsenal looked phenomenal in the UCL, they’ll likely field a weaker side for this matchup while they rest for their trip to Madrid. They’re still without a recognized striker (yet are still finding some goals) and are also without center back Gabriel for the remainder of the season, so they’ll be light at the back.

Brentford are coming off a tough 0-0 draw to Chelsea, a match where both teams had an xG of greater than 1, but where both failed to score.

Brentford are sitting in 12th in the table, but are 7th for goals for and 14th for goals conceded, indicating to me they score and concede more goals than their place in the table would suggest. Of the 31 matches Brentford have played in the EPL, both teams have scored in 20 of them.

Pick #3: Mohamed Salah Anytime Goalscorer -135 (April 13, 2025; 9:00 a.m. EST):

For my final Best Bet, I'm taking a goal scoring prop and going with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

There are two main factors contributing to this bet: 1) he’s the EPL top scorer this year  with 27 goals; and 2) he just signed a new 2-year deal on Friday, two days before this match.

I was able to lock this in Friday at -125, but still like the bet at -135.

Not only does Salah lead the EPL in scoring, he’s also the assist leader with 17 assists, 7 in front of second place.

Liverpool have disappointingly fallen out of the other Cup Competitions this season and are only fighting for the Premier League, for which they are shoe-ins, barring some horrendous collapse.

With their star man on a new contract and still needing a few results in the League to ensure they win it, I’m backing Salah to get another goal against a West Ham side that are sitting in 16th and have given up 52 goals this season.

Across the Globe:

  • Boca Juniors to Win Either Half -130 (Argentina; Liga Profesional)

  • Vasco da Gama Moneyline -105 (Brazil; Serie A)

  • Hammarby Moneyline -105 (Sweden; Allsvenskan)
