The NFL playoffs are upon us and I am ready to make this NFL postseason a profitable one! The regular season was fantastic yet again for me as I was able to win 53.37% of my bets for a profit of 29.09u. I was able to go a whopping 64.71% in the NFL postseason last year and I am looking to duplicate that success yet again! Not only that but we have a Michigan State basketball game on tap for tonight which almost always means I have action in College Hoops when they're playing. I am seeing MSU Hoops very well right now as I've gone 6-0 in their last 2 games. I am looking to duplicate that production for a 3rd straight game.
MSU ML +148
Take the points if you'd rather but I don't think you're going to need them tonight. Michigan State enters this matchup in Champagne against the Illini as a 3.5 point underdog. MSU has a tough task on hand against the 10th ranked team in the nation in the Fighting Illini of Illinois, however, Illinois is without their all star in Terrence Shannon Jr. Shannon has been out since late December as he deals with legal issues and while the Illini have continued their winning ways, the sample size isn't big enough to make me believe Illinois is a top 10 team in the country. Illinois faced Northwestern where they blew their conference foe out of the water by 30 before heading to Purdue and losing to the best team in the nation. That game was a dog fight late and I think Illinois gave it a max effort and we could see a bit of a hangover effect here. On the flip side, the Spartans are off a tough loss to that same Northwestern team. So many people will look and see that Illinois beat NW by 30 and MSU lost to NW by 14 and will automatically bet Illinois. It isn't that easy. This is somewhat of a must win game for the Spartans as they got off to a rocky start early in the season, and the players know that. Guard AJ Hoggard mentioned that they looked at this game as a must win and Head Coach Tom Izzo said that he was completely embarrassed by their effort against the Wildcats. Quotes like that from Izzo and Hoggard have usually parlayed themselves into big efforts the next time out, and I expect that tonight. Lastly, MSU is the better team in many major categories and I think they'll be able to have perimeter success tonight. Their defense should cause issues for the Shannon-less offense of Illinois and I ultimately think MSU wins this game by 6 points or so. Play the moneyline with the Spartans tonight, or take the points in a safer play.
