Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds: Week 10

Waiver Wire Adds Quentin Johnston

The draft is the foundation to a good fantasy team, but a championship team is active on the waiver wire to capitalize on shifting opportunity shares and emerging talent. Each week, I’ll give you a breakdown of my favorite adds in fantasy football. All players listed have to be rostered in under 50% of leagues to qualify for this list. All roster percentages from NFL Fantasy.

Tank Dell, WR, Houston Texans, 48% owned

Dell has the QB ranked 7th in passing yards and 3rd in yards per attempt throwing him the ball. This gives him a crazy high ceiling with plenty of yards to provide a floor. Dell has been on the field for 63% of the plays just trailing Woods and Collins among WRs. He has had two weeks inside of the top 10 and with the amount of air yards available in Houston, Dell is worth a flex play.

Quentin Johnston, WR, Los Angeles Chargers, 32% owned

The Chargers are starting to run out of receivers and are being forced to use their 1st round draft pick at this point. He has played the 2nd most snaps this season among active WRs and he should be reaching near 90% of snaps now due to their receiving core getting decimated. The opportunity paired with an elite QB is simply too good to leave on the waiver wire.

Cade Otton, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 5% owned

Otton has seen 6 or more targets in each of the last three games and Baker is starting to look for the young TE more frequently and in critical situations. He has finished as a TE 1 twice and TE 2 five times through eight games. Otton can be a bye week filler or a viable weekly TE option if you’re in desperate need.

Kyler Murray, QB, Arizona Cardinals, 47% owned

Why do I mention Kyler again? Because at this point with all the QB injuries, I know he is going to be a major upgrade for some teams. Garroppollo,Tannehill, and Ridder have been benched. Rodgers, Stafford, Cousins, Fields, Richardson, and Jones all set to miss time or are out for the season completely. That’s 9 QBs down from where we started the year! Murray is a great late season savior for teams who lost their leaders.

Weekly Waiver Trap!

Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens, 2.5% owned

Keaton exploded and looked good. A lot of people are going to blow their FAAB budget on him which is a bad idea. He is still behind Edwards and Hill on a team with a running QB. The Ravens won 37-3 and Mitchell got most of his work in garbage time. While an interesting add, he’s going to be mostly unplayable in all fantasy formats.
