The draft is the foundation to a good fantasy team, but a championship team is active on the waiver wire to capitalize on shifting opportunity shares and emerging talent. Each week, I’ll give you a breakdown of my favorite adds in fantasy football. All players listed have to be rostered at or under 50% of leagues to qualify for this list. All roster percentages from NFL Fantasy.
Devin Singletary, RB, Houston Texans, 50% owned
Houston has not been able to move the ball on the ground all year until last week. The coaches trusted him with 30 carries which he turned into 150 rushing yards running at 5 yards per clip. Teams are going to have to start defending deep as Stroud has shown real Rookie of the Year promise. Less stacked boxes mean more opportunity for Singletary to further chip away at what was Pierce's role.
Noah Brown, WR, Houston Texans, 25% owned
Brown has now been a top 7 WR in back to back weeks. He has 325 yards in the last two games!! That's the same amount that JSN has on the season folks. Stroud is 2nd in the league in passing yards and has over 800 yards in the last two games. Grab any Texans receiver you can.
Luke Musgrave, TE, Green Bay Packers, 20% owned
Musgrave has finished as a TE 1 in back to back weeks and four times on the season. Love has been looking to him more as the season has progressed and Love looks for him in the red zone. The Packers have been a mess this season but Musgrave has looked good for a rookie TE.
Ty Chandler, RB, Minnesota Vikings, 5% owned
Scam Akers is out for the season and Mattison has a concussion from what I can only assume was running into the back of his own O-lineman. Dobbs has been balling this season but Chandler will play an important role in keeping the defense honest. He was thrown into action and was able to produce while the coaching staff trusted him with 15 carries. While his upside isn’t huge, he could be a great spot play as they play Denver who was just gashed all night by Cook.
Weekly Waiver Trap!
Demario Douglas, WR, New England Patriots, 36% owned
Home boy is getting targets, sure, but he has been getting passes thrown to him from Kyle down at the local save-a-lot. With the current QB situation I want no part in New England receivers. Buyer Beware.
