Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds: Week 6

fantasy football waiver adds week 6

The draft is the foundation to a good fantasy team, but a championship team is active on the waiver wire to capitalize on shifting opportunity shares and emerging talent. Each week, I’ll give you a breakdown of my favorite adds in fantasy football. All players listed have to be rostered in under 50% of leagues to qualify for this list. All roster percentages from NFL Fantasy.

Roschon Johnson, RB, Chicago Bears, 39% owned

If Johnson can pass concussion protocol he will be in line for a starting role with Herbert dealing with an ankle injury. He’s averaging over 5 yards a carry and at 6’/225 lbs he can run inside and outside. The Bears wanted to get him more involved and now they have no choice. With the Chicago offense beginning to click, he could provide decent value down the stretch.

Tyjae Spears, RB, Tennessee Titans, 26% owned

I try not to mention the same players in my articles so you have more options to choose between but Spears is too valuable to not bring up again when he is owned in only 26% of leagues. He is the third down receiving back and is stealing nearly half of the Titans offensive snaps. Spears is extremely talented and Henry is a ticking time bomb at this point in his career.

Rashee Rice, WR, Kansas City Chiefs, 31% owned

While Rice is currently 4th on the team in snap%, he has the most TDs and targets of all the receivers on the team. Rice is extremely talented and his combine measurables are comparable to Aiyuk and Adams. He would be a late season stash for redraft and should be rostered in all dynasty leagues.

Jonathan Mingo, WR, Carolina Panthers, 8% owned

Mingo is averaging 6.5 targets a game out of the gate as a rookie. He is the clear #2 target behind Thielen but would vault to being the top receiver if anything were to happen to 33 year old Thielen. He will continue to develop chemistry with Bryce Young as the season goes on. Mingo is an elite stash if you can wait on a developing receiver.

Honorable Mention: Emari Demercado

Weekly Waiver Trap!

Jaleel McLaughlin, RB, Denver Broncos, 48% owned

I’m doubling down. Take out his one good run and the man had 8 carries for 30 yards. He also caught a TD padding his final score line. Javonte is back to practicing at full rendering McLaughlin un-rosterable.
