Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds: Week 6

The draft is the foundation to a good fantasy team, but a championship team is active on the waiver wire to capitalize on shifting opportunity shares and emerging talent. Each week, I’ll give you a breakdown of my favorite adds in fantasy football. The order I list the players doesn't matter as I believe the players you select off this list should be based off position of need and other team unique factors. Regardless, these are always hot players of the week worth boosting your team.

Tyrone Tracy Jr, RB, New York Giants

Tracy filled in excellently for an injured Singletary against the Seahawks. He managed 14.50 points based off 18 carries taken for 129 yards at an impressive clip of over 8 YPC. Tracy looked dynamic and explosive while Singletary has looked the same he's been his entire career. With groin injuries potentially being a lingering issue that can lead to other injuries, Tracy is an interesting add for anyone at RB.

Jalen Tolbert, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Cooks is out an undetermined amount of time due to infection from a knee surgery. Somebody has to step up behind Ferguson and Lamb and this past week it was Tolbert. Tolbert was clutch for the Cowboys in many high pressure situations such as the catch for the game winning touchdown. Prescott said Tolbert was one of the receivers he spent the most time with in the off season helping him prepare and get better. Tolbert won't come close to Lamb numbers but nonetheless he will be a fine flex play or bye week fill in for the time being. 18.20 points is nothing to sneeze at and for now his floor seems safe also.

Xavier Hutchinson, WR, Houston Texans

Another beneficiary of the injury bug was Hutchinson. Nico Collins left the Bills game with a hamstring injury and it's flip flopping rapidly between day to day to week to week for Collins to come back. Hamstring injuries are difficult to recover from and very costly as they can linger. It's why the Raiders have said Adams is out with a hamstring injury as nobody would question a multi week absence with that malady. While he only managed 2 receptions on 3 targets for 31 yards, now is the time to sneak Hutchinson past your league mates. Collins appears in real jeopardy of missing week 6 and Hutchinson will find himself a starter with Tank Dell and Diggs. He's a good speculative add to see what might happen while everyone else in your league focuses on those with more points.
