Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds: Week 8

Updated: Oct 22

The draft is the foundation to a good fantasy team, but a championship team is active on the waiver wire to capitalize on shifting opportunity shares and emerging talent. Each week, I’ll give you a breakdown of my favorite adds in fantasy football. The order I list the players doesn't matter as I believe the players you select off this list should be based off position of need and other team unique factors. Regardless, these are always hot players of the week worth boosting your team. This week we are at the point in the season when the wire is starting to dry. 8 team leagues still have potential but 10 and 12 team leagues and above are honestly struggling. This list as always will try to help you get an advantage in any way possible while trying to account for these factors.

Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers

Receivers in Green Bay are a carousel but Doubs has been getting the squeaky wheel treatment lately after a one game suspension by the team after dissatisfaction with his role. 18 points in week 6 and 13 in week 7. Doubs seems to have great hands and Love has enough volume and touchdowns to go around. Doubs will be a great filler for injuries and byes until further notice.

Rashod Bateman, WR, Baltimore Ravens

I've been a Bateman truther for years and while I don't think his breakout will come anytime soon, he has managed to become a decent flex play in desperate times. Averaging 8 points a game in half ppr, there are worse options out there. In pass heavy scripts he has potential to catch a touchdown also so he comes with that upside. He's an effective chain mover for the Ravens and I picked him up as a safe floor low ceiling guy to help me out with injuries to D.K. Metcalf and any other issue I might face,

Mecole Hardman, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

Juju is hurt, Hollywood is hurt, Rice is hurt, now Hardman has potential to shine again. He knows the team and offense extremely well. He is the seasoned vet and just scored 13 points in the last Chiefs showdown and part of that was based off a touchdown. His bye has already passed and he looks in store for an expanded role with the Chiefs and their injury woes.
