Clean sweep yesterday! Did anyone tail?? It feels good when you are spot on with your predictions and bets. Let's keep that momentum going forward with three preseason contests tonight in the NFL!
Recap: 2-0
Steelers ML + u38.5 (+180) ✅
IND/PHI o38 ✅
Friday Night Bets:
Game: DET/CAR
Lines: CAR -4.5, o/u 37
Bet: DET +4.5
Reason: It's the final preseason game for both teams, and they are in very different boats in how they are going to approach this game. Detroit is preparing for a playoff push, and looks like they will not play their starters once again. The Panthers will be starting their 1st string offense, who has looked miserable this preseason.
Most people will see this and jump on the Panthers. However, the second and third stringers for Detroit have a lot to play for, and Dan Campbell will find a way to motivate his guys. Bridgewater had a less than impressive start last week, so look for him to improve as he fights for that backup QB spot.
Carolina's starters don't intimidate me, and Bryce Young will probably only play a couple drives still. Matt Corral will come in after and stink it up. Detroit is the play here!
Game: NE/TEN
Lines: TEN -1, o/u 38.5
Bet: TEN -1
Reason: This line shifted from NE -2 to TEN -1 as I was writing this. I'm guessing it has something to do with either Mac Jones not playing, or Tannehill starting for the Titans. Either way, I still like Tennessee in this game.
The Titans have been dominating the ground game even in the preseason. Running the ball is probably a huge focus for the Titans since they have no wide receivers and worthless QB's. I do think the Titans control the clock and run all over the Pat's tonight.
New England has been unimpressive this year, and they are in for a very rude awakening come week 1. Zappe, who I loved, is having a terrible preseason. I doubt Jones plays tonight, so a bad Zappe, and a scrambling Malik Cunningham don't really scare me.
I'll take the Titan's QB room over New England's everyday in the preseason! This line will be moving fast, so jump on it!
Game: LAC/SF
Lines: SF -7.5, o/u 38
Bet: LAC/SF o38
Reason: This is my least confident bet out of the three, but I just have a feeling in this one. Call it a gut impulse. Chargers are resting everyone, while the 49ers announced they will be playing their starters. This has drastically shifted the line in favor of SF.
7.5 points is a lot, and I was highly debating taking the Chargers on the spread, but instead I took the over. Stick for the Chargers has been putting up big numbers, and he should play a majority of the first half. Max Duggan should come in late, and this is where everyone thinks the game will throttle down. I like Duggan to compete and bring the intensity up in the 2nd half.
SF will play Purdy for probably a drive or two, and then will hand if off to Lance and Darnold. Lance is downgraded to 3rd string, so he has a lot of motivation to play well for future teams, since he most likely we be traded pretty quickly here. Darnold is a baller and should score as well.
Good Luck as always if tailing!
