FITTING THE NFL MOLD
Ideally, a WRs height will be between 6'1" and 6'3" and he will weigh somewhere between 205 and 215 lbs. McMillan is a massive target above the ideal threshold for a WR. The three greatest predictors of NFL success for WRs in the combine are the 40 Yard Dash, the 3-Cone Drill, and the Vertical Jump. These test a players speed as well as their ability to high point a ball. Tet did not compete at the Combine as he felt he had secured his spot in the draft. Through his Pro Day results, he scored an 89th percentile in Speed Score which accounts for his body mass. Tet is not just a big guy, but he can move too.
COLLEGE PRODUCTION
Two factors that scouts will raise red flags on are if a receiver has multiple 100+ reception seasons along with injuries and if they play in air-raid or spread heavy systems. McMillan's only listed injury was a hamstring injury that required a procedure, but he never missed time for this. He also never saw an inflated workload while maintaining a solid target share. He also has a solid catch rate for an outside receiver.
WATCHING THE TAPE
T-Mac isn't going to wow you with his speed or quick cuts, but he can box out defenders and get up to high point the ball. He is comfortable and trusts his hands to reach outside of his base to complete the catch giving him a huge catch radius. He is tough at the point of attack and defenders are unable to knock the ball out of his grasp. He is so big that once he boxes out smaller DB's they have no chance but to hope he drops it. It'll be questioned how he will do against tougher competition in the NFL as he wasn't heavily tested against good competition while in Arizona.
THE LANDING SPOT
Tet ended up being a top 10 pick and has a chance to be the immediate starter for the Carolina Panthers. Bryce Young showed some improvement throughout the year and Tet should instantly step into a large workload. Thielen's role will continue to decline and the only guy he has to compete with for targets is Legette. Tet is likely the only rookie WR from this class that will see 100+ targets.
WHERE TO DRAFT HIM
Tet is around a 5th round value in redraft leagues and he is a top 5 Dynasty pick.
