Week 1 DFS Values of the Week!

DFS Values Week 1 2023

Take advantage of the percentage a player is owned! The higher a player's exposure, the better you have to be at choosing other positions. Try to mix in different exposures to create your own unique lineup. Previous millionaire winners have a total ownership percentage of 100.56% each week, and the range between 75%-125% is recommended to increase your chances of winning.

QB: Tua Tagovailoa, $7700, 6.9% owned

There are going to be a lot of people fading Tua for many different reasons this week. It may be his injury history, his O-line, or the fact that it looked like the Chargers figured out the Dolphins offense in a 23-17 Chargers win where they held Tua to only 145 yards and a touchdown. The Dolphins have had all offseason to prepare for this rematch and did little to improve their run game. They instead will again rely on their speedy duo of Hill and Waddle. The Chargers have three big name receivers and an elite offense that will demand Miami to keep pace. I like Tua in what could be a barn burner at a sub 7% ownership.

RB: Cam Akers, $6600, 7.1% owned

The Rams enter a divisional matchup without Cooper Kupp, against a Seattle team loaded on offense. Reports have surfaced that Stafford does not trust his young receivers while McVay has said he wanted to heavily utilize Akers this season. People are all to quick to remember that Akers put up a goose egg Week 1 last year, but do they know that Seattle allowed the third most rushing yards per game in the entire league last season? Akers is only $100 more dollars than Ezekiel Elliott against the Eagles D-Line. Akers is in nearly every DFS lineup I have.

WR: Courtland Sutton, $5900, 5.4% owned

Russ starts his new era with Sean Payton without star receiver Jerry Jeudy. The Broncos rushing attack will not be reliable due to the Raiders additions on the defensive line, as well as the health of Javonte Williams and the new scheme for Samaje Perine. The Raiders allowed the fourth most passing yards per game in the league last season and have had no major additions in their secondary. The Broncos stellar defense may also be able to steal some possessions from the Raiders new QB Jimmy Garoppolo and his first week in action as a Raider.

TE: Tyler Higbee, $5300, 2.5% owned

Higbee as the 13th most expensive TE this week at only 2.5% ownership has him in every one of my DFS lineups this week. Higbee had the 4th most targets and the 5th most receptions among Tight Ends in fantasy in 2022, yet he is being completely overlooked. I fully expect him to see the most targets and have the most receptions on the Rams in Week 1 with Kupp out. Seattle will be able to score and Higbee will be relied on heavily to help pick up big first downs and chunk plays. Higbee is the player people are missing on their lineups. Keep scrolling past the top TEs and get Higbee to win you a nice payout.

Which of these players are you throwing in your lineup?

  • Tua Tagovailoa

  • Cam Akers

  • Courtland Sutton

  • Tyler Higbee
