Champions League Best Bets #14: Quarter-Finals Leg 2 (April 14, 2026 - April 15, 2026):
Welcome in to Champions League Best Bets, brought to you by Bettor In Green, where we recap the latest Champions League action and look ahead with my favorite bets for the upcoming matches.
Recap:
We are halfway through the Quarter-Finals after what was generally a good 1st-leg for the away sides.
Bayern Munich won 1-2 against Real Madrid at the Bernabéu, taking a 1-goal advantage back to Munich.
Sporting CP did a good job of holding Arsenal, though Arsenal did get a late winner in stoppage time to bring a 1-goal lead back to North London.
Barcelona earned a red card for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity, with Atlético Madrid scoring on the free kick that followed the challenge, ultimately winning 0-2 in Barcelona.
The only home team to win was PSG, who comfortably beat Liverpool 2-0, and arguably should have scored more.
We went 2-1 for Best Bets, winning with Arsenal and PSG, losing with Barcelona. We also hit both Bonus Bets with our Real Madrid shots bets.
Upcoming Matches:
Next up are the return legs.
Will Real Madrid find their magic and come back against Bayern Munich?
Can Barcelona win at the Metropolitano like they did earlier this month and overcome the 2-goal deficit? Can Liverpool overcome their 2-goal deficit at home against PSG?
One thing we do know is that we will be in for some exciting matches this week.

Let’s get to the bets:
Best Bets:
Pick #1: Barcelona Moneyline -125 (April 14, 2026; 3:00 p.m. EST):
First up this week is Barcelona to win on the moneyline away to Atlético Madrid
This match will be the 6th time these clubs have faced one another this season. Of the 5 they’ve played, Barcelona have won 3 and Atléti have won 2.
They just squared off in Madrid earlier this month in La Liga, with Barcelona winning 1-2.
The other match played at the Metropolitano in Madrid was a Copa del Rey match, where Atlético Madrid won 4-0 in the 1st leg. However, Barcelona then won 3-0 thereafter, pushing hard to overcome the deficit, but just couldn’t find a fourth goal.
In that Copa del Rey 2nd leg, it was clear Atlético Madrid were playing defensively and just trying to keep Barcelona from advancing. Whether that is the strategy for this game or not, I think that mentality will be tough to shake for the Atléti players.
While the venues are switched, and Barcelona are now seeking to overcome the deficit away, rather than at home, I think they will definitely have some fight in them and win this match.
They have scored 33 more foals than Atléti have in La Liga, so scoring a few goals shouldn’t be too difficult for this team. They’ve already proven they can win at the Metropolitano and I think they’ll do so again.
Pick #2: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (PSG) to Score or Assist +110 (April 14, 2026; 3:00 p.m. EST):
For my next Best Bet, I’m taking a player prop, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to score or assist.
I found this line over at DraftKings, with other books having this closer to -125 or even odds.
PSG have turned it on at this point of the season. While they struggled to recover after last season and the Club World Cup, they now look to be back to their best.
They’ve won their last 5 matches, outscoring their opposition 17-3 in that span, including two comfortable wins over Chelsea and last week’s comfortable win over Liverpool.
Kvaratskhelia has been an absolute monster in the Champions League this season. He’s played in 12 of PSG’s 13 UCL matches and has a goal contribution in 9 of those 12. He has 8 goals and 4 assists total in the UCL this season.
While Liverpool will be playing at home at Anfield, they’ve been shaky as of late, having lost 3 of their last 5 matches.
They looked particularly exposed in their 4-0 loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup, as well as the 1st leg against PSG. Virgil van Dijk has looked well off the the pace in those matches, and was stretched all over the pitch in Paris.
I expect Liverpool will not attempt a back 3 like they did in the 1st leg, as it was disastrous for them. They’ll likely opt for a back 4 like they did for their recent match against Fulham, which saw them win 2-0.
Whatever formation Liverpool choose, PSG have plenty of strength in attack and Kvaratskhelia will look to come alive on the biggest stage, as he has already done so many times this season.
Pick #3: Real Madrid 13+ Total Shots +105 (April 15, 2026; 3:00 p.m. EST):
Finally, I’m taking a similar bet to the Bonus Bet I wrote about last week, Real Madrid to get 13+ total shots against Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid have had 13+ shots in 11 of their last 12 matches, including last week against Bayern Munich.
While Bayern Munich are arguably the strongest club in Europe, their strength has been mostly in attack, without being quite as sound defensively. They’ve only kept 2 clean sheets in the Champions League this season, and 11 in the Bundesliga of their 29 total matches.
With Madrid needing to chase this match and overturn a deficit, they should be playing on the front foot and taking a little risk to score. This should amount to at least 13 shots for Real Madrid.
This match was relatively open last week, with 20 total shots for each team, so if this week is similar, we should cash this bet easily.
Season Record:
League Phase: 12-12
Playoff Round: 1-5
Round of 16: 3-3
Quarter-Finals: 2-1
