Welcome to English Premier League Best Bets, a Bettor in Green Article Series where we break down the latest action in the English Premier League (EPL) and my favorite bets for the upcoming matchweek.

Recap:

The Manchester City vs Arsenal match has been hyped up for several weeks now and it did not disappoint!

The back-and-forth clash saw Manchester City win 2-1, marking a huge shift in the Title Race.

Manchester City now sit only 3 points behind Arsenal, but having played one match fewer. If City win their game-in-hand (securing 3 points for a win), they’ll be tied with Arsenal at the top of the standings.

If clubs are tied in the table, the first tiebreaker is goal differential. That is also extremely close at the moment for these two clubs, with Arsenal at +37 and City at +36.

In other words, we now have an incredibly tight race for the Title heading into the final 5 matchweeks.

In the race for Europe, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Liverpool have all increased their likelihood of securing a top-5 finish and qualifying for next season’s Champions League. Chelsea, who sit in 6th, are now 7 points outside of the top-5 and are tied on points with Brentford and Bournemouth, so they risk falling outside of the other European places as well unless they turn their form around.

At the bottom, Spurs only managed a draw to Brighton, as Brighton equalized in the 95th minute to prevent Spurs from securing their first EPL win in 2026.

West Ham secured a point against Crystal Palace, moving them to 2 points above Spurs and officially ensuring that Wolves will be relegated this season.

We had a much better week on the betting front, hitting all 3 Best Bets.

Across the Globe we went 3-2, losing on Dortmund and Atlético Madrid, winning the rest, with the 3 winners all being plus money.

Upcoming Matches:

We have a quick turn around this week before Matchweek 34 begins. Fantasy Premier League has lumped the first 6 matches of Matchweek 34 into last week’s matches due to this quick turnaround time.

The odd timing is due to playing around the FA Cup Semi-Finals, which take place on Saturday and Sunday this week.

The first match of Matchweek 34 is Tuesday, as Brighton host Chelsea.

We the have 2 matches on Wednesday, Bournemouth hosting Leeds and Burnley hosting Manchester City.

We have one match on Friday, Sunderland hosting Nottingham Forest.

There are 5 matches on Saturday across 3 windows, but no matches on Sunday.

There is one final match on Monday, Manchester United hosting Brentford.

Let’s get to the bets:

Best Bets:

Pick #1: Manchester City to Win to Nil -120 (April 22, 2026; 3:00 p.m. EST):

First up, I’m backing Manchester City to maintain the momentum in this title push and beat Burnley to Nil.

If they win this match, they’ll be tied on points with Arsenal at the top of the table. Even winning by 1 goal will be enough to put City ahead, as they’ll be tied on goal differential, meaning the next tie breaker will come into play, head-to-head record this season, which is in favor of City.

That said, goal differential could become critically important in this title race. While I think one of the clubs will drop points, if they match one another for results, it will come down to GD.

Burnley have not won a match in all competitions in their last 8, with 2 draws and 6 losses. Admittedly, they’ve scored a goal in 5 of those 8, so there is a threat of wrecking the clean sheet, though Manchester City in April will be tough.

Speaking of Manchester City this time of year, they’ve won their last 4 matches in all competitions, only allowing the 1 goal to Arsenal this weekend in that span.

While they do have the FA Cup semi-finals this weekend, they should have the depth to play a strong-enough side for both competitions, especially since they play 2nd-tier Southampton on Saturday in the FA Cup and a weaker Burnley side this week.

If Burnley lose this match, they will officially be relegated, so they may have some fight to avoid official relegation, though the inevitable is coming.

Pick #2: Bournemouth Moneyline +100 (April 22, 2026; 3:00 p.m. EST):

Next, I’m looking at another match on Wednesday, as Bournemouth face Leeds United.

Bournemouth have had a solid season, even after losing Semenyo to Man City.

They are unbeaten in 14 matches across all competitions. Though they had a string of 5 draws in a row, they’ve played well in their last 3 matches against tough opponents, earning a 2-2 draw to Manchester United, then beating Arsenal and Newcastle on the road.

Bournemouth sit in 8th, tied on points with Chelsea in 6th. They have a serious chance of qualifying for the Europa League or Conference League this season, but could just as easily drop out of those positions if they don’t pick up some points in the final matches of the season.

Bournemouth are 6th for goals per match and 16th for goals conceded, and have also slightly underperformed their expected goal tally.

Leeds are also in decent form, having not lost in their last 6 matches in all competitions (3W, 3D).

However, they play Chelsea at the weekend in the FA Cup Semi-Final. Leeds are 8 points above the relegation zone, so they are not totally safe, though not at imminent risk like Spurs or West Ham. An FA Cup final or win could be huge for them, and they’ll definitely seek to do well at the weekend and be looking ahead to that match.

Leeds are 2-7-7 away from home, which is the 3rd worst away record in the league this season.

Bournemouth at home while fighting for Europe should be just a little too much for this Leeds side.

Pick #3: Tottenham Hotspur Moneyline -135 (April 25, 2026; 10:00 a.m. EST):

For our final Best Bet, I’m ready to be burned again, as I back Tottenham to win at Wolves.

I’ve been burned on this bet a few times this season, as I keep anticipating Spurs will find a spark while they seek to avoid relegation. However, they’ve yet to win an EPL match this season.

They travel to Wolves, who are now officially relegated following the West Ham draw at Crystal Palace.

This could mean Wolves have nothing left to gain or lose, allowing them to play with more freedom. However, I’m still backing Spurs in this one.

Spurs desperately need to pick up points to avoid relegation, and this match against Wolves will be viewed as the best opportunity for them to get a win of their 5 remaining matches. If they don’t win here, they’ll almost certainly be relegated.

Spurs showed a little more fight in their last two matches under Roberto De Zerbi, especially their march at the weekend against Brighton. They almost snagged all 3 points following a stunning goal from Xavi Simons, only to fall short in the 95th minute.

Wolves have lost their last 2 matches without scoring a goal, with an aggregate score of 7-0.

For Spurs, this will feel like a final in order to remain in the EPL, and if they don’t build momentum from this match, it will almost certainly mean the worst for the club. If the players have any fight left in them, they’ll finally get their first EPL win of 2026.
