Every Lineup Fighter: Youssef Zalal, $8,400, (-135)

Zalal checks every DFS box this week: pace, five-round upside, durability, and multiple paths to score. He enters the main event on a major surge, riding an eight-fight win streak with several finishes while rebuilding himself into a true featherweight threat. At only $8.4K, you’re getting a fighter in a five-round slot who averages 72.1 DK points and carries one of the safest floors on the slate. Five rounds means more striking volume, more control time chances, more takedown attempts, and more opportunities to separate from the field.

Stylistically, this is also a strong spot. Aljamain Sterling is an elite veteran, but he’s now 36 and facing a younger, faster opponent who has been extremely active. Zalal’s movement, cardio, and ability to blend striking with grappling make him dangerous everywhere. Even if he doesn’t score the finish, five competitive rounds can still smash value through volume alone. At 8.58x projected value on our chart, Zalal gives you main-event exposure without paying main-event tax. He’s the kind of play that belongs in every serious build.

Value Fighter: Raoni Barcelos, $7,600, (+154)

Barcelos may be one of the best point-per-dollar plays on the slate. Our chart has him at 10.04x value with a positive ValueDiff, and that immediately stands out for a fighter priced in the mid-$7K range. This is exactly the salary range where you hunt upside, and Barcelos offers plenty of it. He’s a seasoned veteran with elite grappling fundamentals, sharp boxing, and the type of experience edge that can flip fights many people assume belong to the younger athlete.

Against Montel Jackson, the public may gravitate toward athleticism and size, but Barcelos is the more polished minute-winner. If he can force clinch exchanges, mix in takedowns, or simply outwork Jackson over three rounds, he can easily pay off this number in a decision win. At $7,600, you don’t need perfection—you need a path to 80+ points or an upset win that unlocks studs elsewhere. Barcelos offers both, making him one of the sharpest leverage plays on the board.

Fade Fighter: Francis Marshall, $9,400, (-535)

Marshall is the kind of salary trap that sinks lineups. At $9,400, you need dominant scoring or a finish, yet our data shows only 59.1 average DK points and a brutal 6.29x value score. That is simply not enough for one of the highest salaries on the slate. When paying near the top, you need ceiling—not just win equity—and Marshall’s historical scoring profile suggests he often wins without producing slate-breaking numbers.

This matchup with Lucas Brennan also carries more risk than the price implies. Brennan is a live, aggressive opponent who can force Marshall to work every minute. If Marshall wins a competitive decision, that likely still disappoints at this tag. And if he gets extended or clipped, he becomes one of the biggest bust candidates on the card. There are better ceiling plays above him and stronger value plays below him, which makes Marshall an easy fade in tournaments and a risky click in cash formats.

One of my favorite moneyline looks on this card is Gokhan Saricam. This matchup against Tanner Boser is being framed by many as experience versus newcomer, but when you dig into the physical realities of the fight, Saricam becomes the clear choice.
